EARLY PAYMENT FOR SUBCONTRACTORS
Standardise Early
Payment Requests
Across Your Projects
Give subcontractors the option to request Early Payment on progress claims, while giving main contractors visibility, governance and control — all within the Payapps progress claim workflow.
What is Early Payment in construction?
The Early Payment feature in Payapps gives eligible subcontractors the option to request payment on an approved progress claim before the normal contractual payment date. With Payapps, main contractors can define which projects and subcontractors are eligible, set available payment timeframes and discounts, and manage requests through their existing progress claim workflow. Early Payment remains optional and does not replace agreed contractual payment terms or applicable statutory payment timeframes.

How Early Payment Requests Work in Payapps
Payapps gives main contractors a structured way to manage Early Payment requests directly within the progress claim process. Requests are handled consistently, remain visible to the right teams and follow existing approval workflows.
Main contractors control eligibility, payment timeframes and discounts, while subcontractors decide whether to request Early Payment. The option remains voluntary and does not change the underlying contractual payment terms.

Early Payment vs advance payment: what’s the difference?
Although the terms sound similar, Early Payment and advance payment are different.
An advance payment in construction generally provides funds before the relevant work or service has been completed. Early Payment in Payapps applies after a progress claim has been submitted and approved, allowing an eligible subcontractor to request payment before the normal contractual payment date.
The distinction matters because Early Payment relates to approved work and remains an optional choice for the subcontractor.
Integrate with your existing construction ERP and project management systems
Payapps connects seamlessly with leading construction ERP and project management software, ensuring data consistency across all platforms and eliminating manual double handling.
